Steering column/rack

Post by Cab-ova pete » Sun Apr 12, 2015 5:05 pm

Hi all, well we finally got out on our first camping expedition this weekend! Had to get to grips with camping in a bongo for the first time and it was brill! The grandkids proper enjoyed themselves, the fresh air knocked em clean out :P, we managed getting the awning (Indianapolis 4000) up after watching the video on the forum :? I couldn't believe how warm I was through the night(Friday) with all the wind/rain! I slept in the roof due to our grandson having nightmares everytime he shut his eyes? I think they both looked out of the skylight and there was a tree opposite (looked like the lightening tree out of Follyfoot) When I drove to the shop this morning I heard a squeaking noise everytime I turned the steering wheel both ways, I've not heard this before? All advice welcome, thanks for your patience

Pleased to help

There is a topic on this squeak somewhere on here
You have to tighten an awkward nut under plastic dash panel at side of steering wheel somewhere
Someone will be along soon that knows

check the level in the power steering res, it may be just low on fluid.

My sister loved the horses, and I was in lust with Gillian Blake:

Hmm, linky works here, but a quick Google will bring it up.

Working now, first 5 day week in a good while, likely off to Gloucester and Cheltenham in a couple of weeks.
