Hi All
I have managed to get hold of a set of Standard Bongo Alloy Wheels
My van has steels on it at the moment and as the tyres are the same size I plan to get the tyres swooped over then fit the alloys
Does anyone know if the steel and alloy wheel nuts have the same taper? If they are the same is it safe to use the Steel wheel nuts I already have and just get a set of covers for them to smarten them up or will i have to buy a new set of wheel nuts
Thanks in advance for the help folks

Re: Wheel Nuts
Think you will need different nuts for alloys

Re: Wheel Nuts
The nuts for steel wheels will fit, but will be a bit too far recessed inside the wheels. Get a nice shiny new set like this: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/20-X-M12-X-1- ... 27ede4f380
Keep five of the old ones in case you need to fit a steel wheel as a spare. The alloy nuts are designed for thicker wheel mounting points to may bottom out when used with a thinner steel wheel.
I've got genuine Mazda ones but the ones above will look just as good.
