Poor starting

Post by davben23 » Thu Mar 12, 2015 11:37 am

Hi
The last few mornings the van has struggled to start from cold , initially misses the first "catch" then turns over a lot until eventually starting etc
Glow plugs are only 2months old and getting 12v to the rail. Starts perfect when warm ?

Are you waiting for the audible relay click rather than just the dash light going out?

Recent example of one month old glow plugs being duff: http://igmaynard.co.uk/bongo/forum/view ... =0#p646021

Stick to well known brands like NGK and they should last for many years.
