Our struts are on their last legs, which SGS struts do I buy for a 1996? There's no numbers on ours to match up.

Hi
The original Mazda struts are as good as they get...I bought original, and I had asked around re : aftermarket upgrades, and most sources said they weren't as good
Cheers

Hi
I bought new Mazda, and haven't been disappointed...along with all the rest of the front suspension and steering...and most of the rear...add airbags, and it rides like a new car!...
Cheers

Hi
O.K....Best to specify what you want, then...AFT's may have different front struts?...anyway...most Bongos will need the front struts sorted if they haven't been already...so I'm laughing! ...Only the fuel system and brakes to do now!
Cheers

Ordered some AFT struts. Getting sluggish and I serviced the motors which made no difference so one assumes it's the struts.

Also booked my tent in for a mesh replacement, so I'll strip it out and do the struts at the same time.

Assuming you are referring to the external struts. Maybe they are not original? The part no. on my originals was at the top facing inwards. Impossible to read unless you are a fly. So took a picture using a mirror, then inverted the pic. The link to another thread posted earlier by Simon Jones gives the SGS part no. which I have fitted to my 1996 AFT. I still have the old ones lying around so could measure up etc. if you want.

Facelift models: I believe the struts on facelift models are different - they are slightly longer. The SGS website does NOT reflect this and somebody on this forum (Tony x ??) talked about getting them specially made by SGS.
