Alternators New Shape vs Old Shape
My local scrappy has a later shape bongo that they are breaking, does anyone know if the alternator will fit my older shape Bongo, they are both diesels but I think the breaker is a 2ltr not the 2.5ltr

If your vehicle and the breakers vehicle are Diesels the alt should be interchangeable, unless the engine has been changed / modified to a 2 litre Diesel.

Re: Alternators New Shape vs Old Shape
2.5 diesel / 2.5 petrol / 2.0 petrol all use different alternators & A/C compressors. In the case of the V6, the A/C compressors have different part numbers in later years which may suggest changes have been made. As far I know, the diesel alternators were the same across the years and engine revisions.
