DOOR RUBBERS

Are there any available replacements out there? I ask because last month I was having the van washed by my local asylum soakers and was horrified when we were sitting there and a huge spray came blasting in through the cab and got me. Then a few minutes later the missus squealed when she got hers She did not laugh then

I gather the door seals must be worn which would account for the draught on long journeys! My other worry is that during winter the rain may be perculating through accessing places yet not discoversd by the waxoy guy which may not be protected.

Visually check your seals

But your doors probably need bending back into shape

It sounds more like a door miss fit problem unless the seal is damaged.

You can get new rubber from ebay/amazon or your local coach builder converters or Mazda .

As Gasy has said you may need to tweek the top half of the door.

I haven't had water ingress (but then wash by hand so haven't put a pressure washer on it) but I do have mis-fitting doors that open at the top slightly while driving!

I daren't bend them back into shape though, what with the window runners etc.

I doubt very much if you need to tweek it as much as that, just needs to go back to the Original position.

Tweaking to doors sounds a bit painful and knowing my luck the glass wont fit once I done it

It cannot be that much as they do not leak under normal use so it has to be the seals and even if the doors are a little twisted I am sure new rubber will sort it out. Maybe door seals are standard on all card so I will fish around on flea bay or amazon and such.

TIf I get lucky I will let you know.

I first learned this method on Rolls Royce vehicles, it did not do them any harm, we are talking about a wee tweak not a full blown strangulation.

Yep
Had to do it on my Landry doors every time you got in and out

Open door stand inside window down
Put your knee on inside of door about where the handle is and pull the top outer edge of door window
Then try it
That's what is needed unless you have chunks missing out of your rubber seals
Easy job won't hurt the window

Well I have good reason for being cautions, I am known for being a bit cack handed in the past not realising one's strength and when to stop.

I'll give it a looking at first to see if it is out of sink.
