Electric blinds master switch not working on drivers side

Post by New Forest Terrier » Sun Oct 05, 2014 9:36 pm

The master switch for my electric blinds has stopped working on the drivers side. That's the dashboard one that controls both blinds. Individually both blinds work from the switches next to the windows. Motors are fine. It looks like either the switch or the wiring. Is it an easy switch to remove and has anyone suggestions on troubleshooting? The passenger side switch works fine.

Buy some of that electric motor spray cleaner and giving it a dose. Mine were being iffy but gave them a dose of that some years back and it cured the problem. I now use my blinds every day when I park at work. It's use it or lose it with electrical stuff ;-)

The switch just pops out if you push it from the rear. You could then swap them round and see if the fault moves or stays with the location.
