Fitting a rear spoiler
Hi all,
I can see that there's a number of threads on this which I've read. It seems that fitting using a combination of measuring and masking tape imprints are the way to go.
HOWEVER,
I seem to have to bits (one on each side) that stick out of the spoiler and look as though they should clip into the body of the van

There's no spoiler on my van currently so should I cut these off? Drill an additional hole on each side for these (3 total on each side)? Or are there any other suggestions?
Ps may be asking a few questions about wiring in the brake light after I've got past this......

Thanks Colin, I'll saw them both off. Thought that would be the way but thought I'd double check!
Re: Fitting a rear spoiler
file a couple of bolts to a point and screw them into the threaded holes in the spoiler offer it up to van and once in the correct possition wiggle it about very slightly so it makes a mark on the van better if some one helps to hold one end hope this helps

Re: Fitting a rear spoiler
So,
Drilled out the plastic guidance pins, marked the holes, drilled and with a bit of faffing hey presto.
Not perfect but I think it passes the eye test......

I did however sidestep wiring in the brake light for the moment. Task for another day!

Looking nice
I do prefer them with a rear spoiler
Think that brake light will have to be working before next mot tho

Not if it's not there Just remember to tie a piece of cotton to the cable as you pull it through so that you refit it easily.
Looks good by the way

Actually, I don't think it's tested for the MoT.
On my MX5 (import), I have the boot mounted brake light configured as a rear fog light. This was done after consulting the MoT man three MoTs ago

As I recall, they are M6 x 1.0 which is widely available at any hardware/DIY/tool store.
