Removing the exhaust valve and replacing exhaust

Post by Idris » Tue Aug 05, 2014 9:57 am

My Exhaust is one rusted mass with ever growing holes - the winter pack exhaust valve is a possible cause of my bad running and stalling.

Can I just buy a 3 piece exhaust and bolt it in place? From the lushprojects diagrams it looks that way? Anyone done this?

Any recomended online supliers? who ship to France (just regular not SS)

Thanks Tom

yes you can fit a 3 piece system, blank off the vac pipe to the exhaust valve though as its used for other stuff.

ian at bongofury may ship a system for you as he keeps them in stock.
dont forget to get the special gaskets that go between the sections, they are a copper crush ring with ceramic in them, they are not too expensive but you will need them.
