water leak

Post by charlieboy » Thu Jul 31, 2014 9:13 pm

hi i have a water leak on the front of the engine. but can not find where it is coming from. i have checked the water pump inspection hole nothing coming from there. the water is dripping over the top of the back of the crank shaft pully but i have been under the van with mirrors torches for about a good hour and just can not see any traces of where its running down from. is there anywhere else the water could be comming from other than the pump is there any core plugs on the front of the engine
hope for some help regards charlieboy

there is a hole that coolant leaks from at the 6 oclock position on the water pump casing, this is very hard to find and see and a dentist angled head mirror is needed to thread the mirror through the belts into position, then you need to shine a torch on to the mirror, a bit hard to find at first but easier the more you do it.
