Hi folks, sorry for the complete absence of a technical term for this pipe that runs from the front to the back on the underside of the van. I believe it carries water or coolant(?) and should be metal, though ours seems to have had a repair at some point and has a short length of plastic pipe inserted in it. Anyway, upshot is that our mechanic thinks it's about ready to give up the ghost on us and if we can source one, he'll fit it for us. He's a guy recommended to us by our nearest Bongo dealership and he's done work for us already, but he's a bit "old skool" and doesn't seem to do the internet! Can anyone enlighten me as to the name of this component, exactly what it's used for and where I might be able to lay my hands on a replacement one?
Sorry if this is a question that's been asked already, but with over 5,000 messages including the word "pipe" in them and an absence of the real name for it, it's not been easy to check!
Thanks,
Dianne

Aha, good shout, wish I'd thought of that when it was up on the lift in the workshopGasy wrote:Is it on drivers side with a tee piece at the end under drivers seat area

Aha - thank you very much for that, having even had an initial look at it, that looks like the chap - apparently you can just replace a small piece of it if you get it early enough, ours isn't looking too hot thoughwonkanoby wrote:http://www.igmaynard.co.uk/bongo/forum/ ... mit=Search
