Either charging system is draining the battery as it goes, or you have a cold start sensor/choke issue is my guess.

Bit more info would make diagnosis easier?

Unlikely to be serious if it starts and runs fine, if it was serious I would have assumed it either wouldn't start or would run rough from the get go.

The fact that its OK on start and then doesn't once warm doesn't sound like it could be that bad, but what is it diesel/petrol?

More info needed really?

Would it be a pig to start when warm if the cold start system is left switched on
You've not switched that switch on by drivers right knee with engine symbol on it by accident have you.

It would help to know what engine type it is and some more background info :). Does it turn over on the starter at the normal speed, but takes a while to fire up, or is the turning over slow? After what period of running time does the restart become a problem? When was it last serviced? etc etc

Could be seals on the injector pump or vacuum in the fuel tank. Try loosening the filler cap to see if it makes a difference.
