Hi
I am just getting my van going again as it went unused last year, so rejoining the club and sortinmg out numerous little problems.
The main thing is the seals on the A/C compressor are leaking. I have tried with several places, one was even an A/C specialist, but am having no luck in trying to get the compressor seals sorted. Ot does anyone know about this subject? I did a quick search for "compressor", but it was all to do with refridgerators.
Does anyone know of a specialist that does Bongo A/C ? I have been told there are two types of compressor, one for which spares are available and one for which they are not. None of the recon places I have tried seem to want to touch it. Most garages just shrug their shoulders. There are also some corroded pipes, but these can be fixed, the real sticking point is the compressor. I don't think there's much point in my buying a s/h unit from ebay, as it may well be the same as mine.
This is my main priority as I need the rear A/C working if I want to take the dogs in the van.
I would be really grateful for any info - either about firms who might be able to recondition this unit, or perhaps there is an OEM replacement that few people know about, that could be made to work.
Thanks
Chris

- another go at fixing the fuel sender
- washer motor not working (could just be a fuse) - MOT failure that one!
- rough running - could be the diesel has been left too long in the tank what with me not driving it for a year.

Brilliant thanks - I think most of the places I spoke to were convinced that the seals would not be available in the right size. I will order some when I find out which ones I need!!!
Thanks for the washer motor link - mine has very green terminals, so I am going to take it off and clean it all up following the info in the link!
