I'm using Castrol Magnatec 5w30 fully synthetic. Probably fine on semi-synth but it was on offer at Halfords so I got 12 litres. Just done annual change after about 5000 miles and it came out pretty clean although I am running LPG which tends to run cleaner than petrol alone.

Yes, several: TM2, TM4 (twin display) and a Mason alarm. Round about 96 for the heads (TM4) and about 90 for the coolant. The Mason alarm doesn't have an absolute temp setting but rather a setting from 0 to 5.

The Mason alarm needs tweaking up a bit as it comes on just before the fans so, and the TM4 also needs to go about a degree or two as it went off at the top of the big hill by Birdlip. Each van will be different so try setting it a bit low and adjusting such that it only goes off in extreme conditions.
