86000 miles and no evidence of cam belt change....

Post by BongoBongo123 » Sun Jun 22, 2014 6:07 pm

should I be worried... be very worried ? I think I should be worried.

Might have to book that back in for a cam belt job. I think I will
let a Bongo conversant local garage do that for me.

I heard a snapped cam belt = massive repair costs.
They call me light foot.

Yep, I'd get it done.
Take a torch, toilet roll, and tea bags.

You don't mention what engine you have, but for the diesel it's 5 year or 60,000 miles (whichever is sooner). I've got a V6 and I imagine it is much the same. If there is no evidence that it's been done, then definitely worth getting it done at earliest convenience.
