Magical Mystery Box (of electrical stuff)

Hi all,

Was fitting my split charge to the Freda at the weekend and found some extra wiring and a box with a circuit board that I have no idea what it does. Some of the wires seem to still be connected but a lot of them look to have been cut. Anyone have any idea what it could be?

Something stereo related. Perhaps a telemute box for hands free kit?

I really have no idea what it could be, I'll have to trace all the cables and see if i can figure out where they go. There doesn't appear to be anything extra on the dash etc, I think whatever it was it may now have been removed.
