Bongo badges

Post by upthebeacon » Sun Jun 15, 2014 7:58 am

I've recently purchased a 2002 black V6 which is great. However, the front mazda badge on the grille has been cracked in the past and it has been painted black. There are also no bages on the back. Have had a good look online, ebay and also emailed a few dealers with no luck so far. Does anyone know where I can get badges from?

Welcome to the forum :). Random question, but did you buy the Bongo from a dealer in Exeter? I think the only place you will get that particular type of badge from will be a main dealer or a scrap vehicle. The 2002 grill is different to earlier versions and does not come up on eBay very often.

Thanks for your reply. Yes I did buy it from Exeter. Interesting that you should say that! I'll ask at the main dealer as well as going back to the garage to ask. I'm presuming main dealer prices will be pretty steep?

Hi
I have bought badges for mine on e-Bay...Sorry, but I can't remember what particular Mazda they were from, but there are one or two sellers flogging Mazda badges, and you just need to hunt, and look at the profile they fit!
Cheers

Small world. Must be the same vehicle I saw in Topsham a couple of weeks ago and the reason I remember it was the painted black badge which stuck in my mind. The guys there have quite a few breakers out the back so should be able to find you a replacement.
