Two of these 50w units could be wired in parallel, with the wires at the rear edge of the roof, popped though a hole outside of the AFT 'living' area.

Or one of these could be popped up there, they are 1040mm long, pretty much the same length as the available space to the mm.

Be careful with the panel width if you choose those brackets as the bongo roof curves and the longer panels go quite close to the edge of the AFT

Before committing to purchase check with the seller the mechanical sizes including any frame. Some sizes quoted are for active area. Mine is a rigid, the panel size would have fitted between the AFT mounting nuts with a simple bracket, with the frame I just had to be a bit more inventive with the mounting method.

I am already thinking that I may drill a series of holes front and rear of the frame to keep the airflow on the hottest days, but so far, I like the installation...PLUS it compliments the black roof rails I bought from the Club Shop!.....Now I just need a small deflector to cope with low tree branches!

not a bad idea. They stay plenty cool enough over here, but a whole load of 6-8mm holes will certainly help where is is mega hot.

Yes, I plan to drill the front, as that'll be the high spot camping, and when travelling, the extra input of air should escape easily...I wasn't planning on drilling the back, as It'll ruin the aesthetics, and look like following an industrial colander!!!...

i fitted a rigid 100W AKT(?) square panel that i got from Ebay, used a single aluminium bar across the roof bar mounting points and then mounted a rubber doorstop from the local hardware store at each corner, they are only 1cm deep but enough to stop the frame of the panel resting on the roof. Then just made some ally spacers for the bar to bolt through.
see my link below for a picture. never had any problems with the panel lifting in the wind whilst travelling and can get great output with no degradation as temperature rises, been moderately sunny today and got ~3 amps , on a really bright day have seen ~5 amps. used it connected to my starter battery all winter so that it was always ready to go and today switched it back to my leisure battery to get it charged ready for a festival next weekend.
