Battery Model

Post by anfarrow » Mon Jun 02, 2014 12:38 pm

Hi Folks,

Question - what model should the battery in the 1997 Mazda Bongo be?

The battery in mine was replaced by the AA at the roadside the other year, and it has a part number of 005 on it - that's about it!

It has been stood up a while over winter and the battery hasn't survived and won't hold a charge.

I popped into Halfords with the dead battery to get a replacement, and teh chap behind the counter sold me this (HB005)
http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/stor ... yId_165762

However it looks taller and narrower than the AA one, and I can't believe 60A is enough for the diesel Bongo?

Does anyone know what spec (and ideally model) the Bongo battery should actually be?

Many thanks

You want at least 95ah and 110 is better.

I'll see if I can find the code.

I've just bought the same battery here for £77 with free delivery.
