Rooftop Mattress recommendations...

Post by ianpaull » Mon Jun 02, 2014 8:04 am

Hi all

another question...we have a rather think (prob no more than 1inc) rooftop mattress in our bongo.
we'd like to upgrate to a thicker one but with so many prices/choices available online can anyone recommend one they've bought before or the best material/supplier?

Many thanks

Ian

If you wait a few days the club will be announcing a special deal on roofbeds at highly competitive prices.

2" memory foam king size topper worked for me - cut it to size myself and had enough left for a full width double thickness memory foam pillow. My Bongo came with a designed quilted blanket that lies on top of the memory foam.

Hi Ian, thanks for your advice. When/how will I get to know about said announcement? Thanks

For the comfortzleisure memory foam mattress, I see it comes in pieces.
I assume the roof shuts ok with the mattress in?
We always leave our hatch open so that light comes in, can the hatch be open and the mattress still in place?
e.g. the hatch is resting on the mattress?

Yes, the roof shuts fine (along with double sleeping bag, kids sleeping bag, mummy sleeping bag, 2 pillows and thermal window blinds :-)

Not tried it, but probably no to the having the hatch open with the roof down, as this would mean double thickness of mattress.
