Roof board.

Post by Jonny Tunnel » Fri May 30, 2014 11:21 am

I have recently bought a Bongo, but the rear roof board is missing. Can anyone kindly tell me the dimensions, and what material i should use to make one please.
Also, what is the red switch to the right of the button below steering wheel next to switch that says 'Rear'.
Kind Regards

Is it proper roof or aftermarket? The AFT roof does not have a removable rear panel:

The switch you described is likely to be rear foglight.

Yes its an AFT roof as shown in your pic. The board is missing, perhaps somebody yanked it off.
Thanks also for advice re: switch.
I'll prob make a temporary board out of ply.

Theres one for sale here: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/mazda-bongo-e ... 233a48f5f2

You may also need the gas struts if the whole lot has been removed.

I can't visualise the part you mean. There's only the removable front section and lift up panel with the integral hatch. Can you highlight which part it is on this diagram?

Your best bet would be to contact a breaker, cant imagine that they will be expensive, not a lot of call for this item.

Good Luck.

The parts shown as 69-8xxx are grey headlining material panels which are like pieces of felt or carpet glued to the inside of the AFT. Can you post a photo showing where the thing you are looking for should go?

Thanks for the email Jonny. The item you need is the front roof board which fits over the front cab section. It is drawing number 57-480A in this diagram. You'll probably be able to get one from a breaker. Update you profile with your location & we can probably recommend somewhere close to you. If you get stuck, I know a man who will probably have one ;)
