Continental Tyres 215 60 R17 - Suitable for a Bongo?

Post by donaldthomps » Wed May 28, 2014 9:37 am

Hi, would Continental Tyres 215 60 R17 be suitable on 17" Alloys for a Bongo?

I have a set of 4 new tyres to use here.

Thanks in advance

Probably not. I'll buy them off you :wink:

But seriously, they're a bit 'taller' than usual but I thInk they'd be fine provided the load rating is high enough.

Re: Continental Tyres 215 60 R17 96H - Suitable for a Bongo?

Hi, the load rating is 96H - is that suitable?

Also, will the extra height cause any issues at all?

Here's the calculation difference;

Specification Sidewall Radius Diameter Circumference Revs/Mile Difference
195/70-15 5.4in 12.9in 25.7in 80.9in 783 0.0%
215/60-17 5.1in 13.6in 27.2in 85.3in 743 5.5%
