Reversing middle seat long runners

Post by ninping » Tue May 13, 2014 7:33 pm

I have read many posts on this but yet to find the answer to my question. Hopefully someone can help. With the middle seat reversed I understand it won't slide anymore but will it still lay flat to make up a bed with the back bench seat also laid flat? I've read about there being a gap between the two but is this only with the short runners?

Replying to my own post! Spent hours doing the seat reversal this afternoon bit now it's done I'm really pleased with it. Both seats slide and there is no gap, however I removed the black lever springy thing that stops the seat on the black stopper blocks. Can anyone tell me if that's ok? I'm worried I may have made it unsafe.

Hi ninping,

Are you a member? There is a very good pdf on this on the member's area.

Except for that, cannot be much help unfortunately!

Thanks for your reply Andy, yes I looked at the fact sheet but seemed to be able to keep the seats sliding without having to do the modification. It does say on the pdf to remove the black lever thing so hopefully it's ok.

There's no problem removing the black springy lever. It's just there to help you locate the seat into one of the two main positions without going too far.

Thanks. Also I didn't manage to get the washer back on at the stopper bar thingy at the end of the rail. Does anyone know if this is going to be a problem?

If you mean the star washer that holds the pin in place, than its not a problem. I used a cable tie around the pin to stop it moving but there's little chance of it working loose.
