Hi all
So picking up new Jimbo this week. Have decided against a conversion for now but would be interested in getting a leisure battery and having plugs to plug in a TV, cool box etc. can anyone give an idea how much that would cost and recommend anywhere in the SW to have it done?
Thanks

I bought the split charging kit (£70 approx) from Willinton using eBay. Recommended on here and was spot on. I did a DIY fit but know a competent small garage in Chippenham, Wilts if that is anywhere near you. However it isn't a specialist job.

I have re-read your post and wonder whether you after a simple extension to the existing 12volt system or a full 240v elec hook up system. Cool boxes don't run for any length of time off battery alone.

Hi
Since posting original post I haven't got round to sorting out electrics. Can anyone recommend anywhere in Cornwall to fit a full electric system? I have no idea about voltages etc but want to be able to use leisure battery and hookup, have plugs in the van etc. any ideas on cost?
Cheers

You could just use a 240v hook up lead with rcb

There are plenty of camper van converters in the SW who might be able assist such as Clearcut in Barnstaple.

Thanks Gasy, that seems like a good cheap option for the warm weather. Not being able to close the back fully in colder weather would be an issue?
I will check out the converters too.
Thank you

I'm in Somerset, so perhaps too far, but if not, drop me a PM with your email and I'll get in touch and talk about your specific requirements and tell you how much it'll cost.
