Hi all,
I have an early Bongo with the flip up rear seats (3rd row) I'm wondering if I can change the running rails to the longer ones so I can remove the flip up seats and push the middle bench all the way to the back. I'm planning on installing a front conversion and wanting to have only the middle seats in the back and sleep in the roof.
Thank you.

Re: Longer sliding rail for seats
You can do that, but the sliding bench will bump into the flip-seat mounting turrets on the top of the inner wings, so you'll have to remove the side trim panels, cut the turrets off the inner wings and then fill in the holes in the trim & refit, or fit the alternative inner trim panels from the all-sliding seat version.
To mount the longer rails, you'll find that the threaded inserts are there under the floor, but you have to carefully drill out the holes for the bolts, without drilling right through the threads.
When you get your long rails, make sure you get all the bolts as well, as they are a reasonably uncommon metric fine thread, and of course they are the correct hi-tensile strength for the seat loadings.
Not a really simple conversion, but easier than going the other way!
