Odometer not working

Post by Sad-Ac » Tue May 06, 2014 5:35 pm

Hello Guys,

Got an issue and was wondering if you can help.

Odometer stopped reading mileage, great but I have LPG and use it to measure fuel. The RPM/Speedo and everything else works just fine on the dash but no the miles, any thoughts?

Is there a cable to reconnect or fuse to replace ?

Thanks.

Try pushing the reset (sharply) a few times, if it doesn't cure it check the plug at the back of the speedo head.

PS, are all the wheels inline.

Took the dash off but A didnt know what I was looking for B was scared I broke it!

Will try again and see if I can see the speedo cable. But would one hting break without the others?

Wheels? Unless I hit a big pot hole I cant remember nothing has changed from last week when it was working.

There is a single (electrical) wire from the gearbox to the instrument panel which drives the speedo and odometer. If the speedo is fine, it would suggest the odometer itself is faulty.

Wiggle them as in jack it up and wiggle the free wheels? Needs the tracking checked anyways, you think this may do it?

Sorry for the thick questions!

I get it - now I just fell dumb, doh! Will go stick a screw driver in it and see how it goes.
