Figure 8 strip rubbing?

Post by spud350 » Mon May 05, 2014 8:34 am

Went away this weekend and used my Easi Canopi which I've never tried before. It went up easily enough and as I only want it for a sun shade looked good for the job. However when sat in the van there is a constant creaking noise from the figure 8 strips. Does anyone else suffer this? I understand with the breeze they will be move, but A) it's quite annoying and B)I guess it's rubbing the paint.
Has anyone suffered this and any solutions available?

Cheers Spud.

I used Teflon based oil rubbed it all over the guttering stops the creaks and helps the figure of 8 locate and be removed much easier.

Don't think I want to go down the stick on route. Will try some oil and see how that goes.
