Hey,
My new tailgate arrives this afternoon, does anyone have a step by step guide or advise on how to complete it?
Many thanks

Re: Replacing the Tailgate
No easy answer on this apart from muscle power.... I'd advise 3 people personally.....2 to hold the tailgate while you locate the hinge brackets to the body plus the same 2 "bodies" to lift it while you attach the tailgate struts... make sure the door fits right and you can fettle the fit when the door is hung.... Don't give your helpers a beer until after the job is done...

It would be worth scribing the hinge position before you remove them.
Once you have changed over the tailgate use a suitable prop and fit the struts to the TG .
Good luck..

Get 3 bodies to do it and you drink the beer...........

You also have the electrics/cable and the washer tubing to contend with but these are straightforward.
