How Interchangeable are Leisure & Marine with main batteries

Post by Sapphie » Wed Mar 26, 2014 11:28 am

During an MOT, our usually helpful local garage replaced the Leisure battery (which isn't connected anyway) with an L&M 80Ah 540A battery, although we had asked them to check the main battery , as it had gone flat over the winter. Can we just get them to swop this over with the main (currently a T100V3 70Ah, 12V battery), or should we ask them to replace it with a type 249 90Ah recommended elsewhere on this forum? TIA.

Yep!! Get them to replace it with a standard starter battery.......LBs cannot provide the heavy current demands of starting a cold engine.

Take a torch, toilet roll, and tea bags.
