Long or short runners?
Hi,
Sorry if this sounds stupid, but I want to take the middle seats out of my Bongo so I can rebuild as a single bed with no rear seats at all (my 4 dogs are more important than people when I go on hols quite honestly! I've looked at the member fact sheets, but there is a separate sheet for long and short runners - what's missing is a photo of each so I know which ones I've got! Sorry if that sounds stupid, but when you have nothing to compare I'm not sure if they are long or short...
And once they are out they will probably be for sale if anyone wants them!

If you have 2 sliding bench seats, then the tracks will be the long type that extend the full length of the rear area. The short ones are around about 1 metre while the long ones are about 2 metres. The process for reversing the seats is effectively the same, although its better with the long set as you get the runners out the end more easily.

I've always fancied some long runners if they long ones and the price was ok. But I'm near Manchester and you may not want to post them!HisRoyalFredness wrote:Hi,

If you have two bench seats you have long runners, if the third row fold up you will have shorties.

Re: Long or short runners?
ok thanks it's a campervan so I only have 5 seats in the whole thing, so I guess that's the short runners. We don't want to reverse the seats, we want to take them out and get rid, but after I posted that I read both sheets and neither of them mention taking the seats out at all! So I guess that's just simple for us to do.
Re: Long or short runners?
Bench seat is just 4 bolts to remove. Pull off the plastic trim where the seat sits on the runner to reveal.
If you want to remove the bit that slides on the rail you will need to unbolt said rail, bolts can be tight, but simple enough.

Re: Long or short runners?
ok thanks, I'll send that to my dad who is doing it for me.
I have 4 dogs to get in, one elderly, not very bendy Greyhound so we need a bit more floor space for her. And travel crates for my four small dogs, so with just one person that amount of seats and bed space is superfluours.
Might end up adapting the roof 'floor' so I can have a hammock up there, instead of having to block myself right in.

Not everyone is aware that the whole roof floor will hinge up parallel with the raised roof.
Just push up at the front. Sorry if you knew this, but not everyone does.
