Fuel Injection Branch Leak at fuel line junction

I know there is a bit of an on going saga with the engine at the moment, 1st I thought it was a leak at the head/block junction, this turned out to be a fuel leak not oil.

I have replaced the pipe between the fuel injection branch and the fuel pump, but was still getting diesel seeping and I was pulling my hair out thinking it was this pipe.

Turns out it isn't, the fuels is seeping out from the top of the Injection branch where the fuel line screws/bolts onto it.

It doesn't seem to be coming from in between the nuts but between the bottom nut and the flat surface on the top of hte fuel injection branch.

The nuts are all tight, so my questions is, can this be sealed? Is there a washer there that needs replacing or is it a case of replacing the whole injection branch.

It's possible there is a crack on the flange at the end of the pipe. I've got a spare set of pipes you can have for £10 plus postage if you get stuck.

Thanks Simon, It is booked in with the garage on thursday as I just don't know my way around diesel engines as well is I do petrol ones, I'll give you a shout if I need them.

Hats off Simon - you are incredible. For any newbies, this man doesn't even have a diesel anymore!

If a philanthropist is someone who cares about humanity then I'm tempted to call Simon a philbongopist. Trouble is, there was a Bongo owner once called Phil and he was often drunk so....it could cause confusion

Cheers Mike . I've got a very large pile of stuff 'that will come in handy one day' & that includes half a spare engine that is of no use in the current Bongo.
