For those of you who can't decide if to join us next weekend at The Golden Swan, positively balmy conditions are forecast on the BBC Weather site for next weekend. Perhaps this might encourage some of the tough northerners to come down for a summer holiday...

Friday 14 Mar
Light Cloud 8/14°C 7mph Westerly

Saturday 15 Mar
Light Cloud 8/14°C 13mph Westerly

Sunday 16 Mar

At the moment I'm thinking no Sunday lunch as we're staying that night and will likely do a walk.

I will, however, check with Senior Management. 8)

Our plans:

We won't be having Sunday lunch as we are staying the night so will most probably be out for a walk, but thanks.

Saturday Mrs B would like to walk to Pewsey to visit the wool shop (which will be closed on Sunday). There are good pubs and shops to be found in the village.

Most likely leave the site at 11.00 if anyone would like to join us. :D

Sunday, probably walk to the Barge, but ideas welcome. 8)

I will have to leave on Sunday so will probably bring just the Bongo. the gas main is being replaced in my road and just to get the eriba out and back again is going to be difficult.

I also need to get the eriba ready and have had a series of things happening which have taken the time I should have spent getting it kitted out. The storm damage to the house has caused a lot of problems which is the reason I have to be home Monday.

I am not sure I could face one of the Swan's roast dinners. They are a lovely idea but an overwhelming quantity.

Rats, I'm really sorry your Eriba won't be there. I have a strong fancy for one and was looking forward to crawling all over it.

Be good to see you anyhow, Mary. :D

I will try to get it there Bob. The problem is that I live at the end of a narrow road and the gas mains are being replaced. It should have been finished last month, but the ground has been waterlogged. As they are working their way round the holes are steadily blocking access to the houses. I can still get out but have to go over a metal bridge to get into the road. By Friday they will have just about reached me. I can get the Bongo out if necessary and keep it further away on the road until everything is passable but there is no room for the Eriba, so it will have to stay. Council will have a hysterical traveler alert anyway if it is parked on the road.

It should be all sorted out by Southern Softies and it will be there. I am sure I will see you with it soon if not there.

No worries, Mary. :D

We're not at Softies, but will make the Welsh and National.

We've booked for the Scottish but may well have a 'Family Commitment'. Sometimes duty calls.

Catch up soon anyhow. :D

Pleased to say a 'Mini Meet' popped up at our 'Shakedown' weekend. :D

Really good to see Geoff and Carol, this is a site I can recommend:

They don't take group bookings, but you won't find better. :D

Not us I'm afraid, but thanks.

The food at the Swan is first class so we'll probably eat Saturday night. :)

:D Kerry & I are thinking along the same lines as Bob, no Sunday roast after our cooked breakfast but will eat in the Golden Swan on the Friday or Saturday night whichever suits?
As it's a longer walk we were thinking of saving The Barge at Honeystreet for the Saturday and walking into Pewsey on the Friday ......but hey whatever
cheers! party on dudes.
