Headlight relay
Where can I get a headlight relay, the h.270 type.
It's 12v 20a 4 pin looks like a Jap motorcycle one to me.
Any ideas where I can rock up and buy one or two?

Re: Headlight relay
Really want a new one not a 16 year old one but thanks Simon.
What's the dangers in running a 30 amp relay as opposed to the standard 20a?

Re: Headlight relay
There would be no problem running one with a higher capacity. If you were feeling flush, you could probably replace all of them with that type and have some spares left over, or even sell them on at a profit.

We should start a business

Just found this

This is actually a Bongo relay - its the early H270 type used in in my one, so very handy.
Shows you clearly how to refurb a faulty one.
More good news means that the same relay is used in 96 Fords - that should make them easier to source for us all.

Nice one.
Re: Headlight relay
This looks a good resource, turns out that the Bongo and Ford Probe (amongst others) were on the same production line.
They share parts including the relays
Brand spanking new £14
Everyone except the H270 - but lots for you 99+ guys.

Some good news, these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/301109632321? ... 1439.l2649 not only work, but they actually fit inside the cap of the H270 relay so they look like a standard Bongo relay, and fit exactly as original.
All you have to do is cut the mounting bit off the top and a bit of trimming, and it slides inside - job done.
