Starter motor?

Post by bonglos » Tue Feb 25, 2014 2:27 am

When trying to start up I sometimes get just a click and nothing more, a few attempts later she turns over and starts. Is this a starter motor problem? Do I need a new starter motor or is it just a solenoid (if bongos have such a thing). All help/advice gratefully received.

What he said (assuming you have a diesel engine). Not heard of anyone having to repair a petrol one yet but I'm sure the solenoid contacts are available if required.

Thanks. Is it an easy thing to do yourself?
