Lights won't turn off- 2L 2000 model

Post by scud » Thu Feb 06, 2014 12:07 pm

Hi

I have a 2L Y plate tin top aero- we love it!

last night my wife turned the lights off and removed the key from the ignition, but the side lights and dash illumination remained on.

I ended up removing th eart from the battery so not to drain it.

Any ideas?

Thanks

There is a relay under the bonnet which could be stuck. I dont have the details to hand, but there is a handy photo on the forum somewhere which shows what each of them is for.

Looks like a shorted relay possibly due to wet
It was pretty melted
Thanks for help!
I will let you know if replacement cures!
