bongo wont start
Hi all. Had my bongo off road for a little while as having new arches etc done. Trouble is won't start now, I'm getting volts too glow plug rail, and plugs are new. seems like it may not be getting fuel, Any ideas anyone, also where do I find the banjo filter too check for blockages? Thanks.

check the link below and click on the links IN it. item 246 is the banjo bolt, the filter is inside it. its a little brassy coloured thimble filter.
http://www.igmaynard.co.uk/bongo/forum/ ... mp#p587668.
the banjo filter is inside the pump, just where the fuel pipe enters the pump. do a search (top right of the page) a search for banjo filter then click on the links it shows you.
on top of some of the fuel filter housings is a push button primer, push it up and down to prime if fitted. if not fitted slacken the injector pipes to the injectors then cover over with a cloth to stop it spraying everywhere when it primes up then tighten as its running.
look for the auto/electric fuel shut of solenoid,(item 240 on the same drawing). its mounted at the rear of the pump it can stick shut, it also requires voltage to open it, so check it could have popped a fuse or the wire come off etc.

Re: bongo wont start
Are you sure it's not that the battery has drained to the point it can't turn the starter over quick enough?
Re: bongo wont start fuel problem??
Thanks for help so far. Still no luck though. I've topped up the diesel too be sure as fuel gauge has been a bit funny in the past, tried taking off injector pipe but no fuel coming out when turning it over. The pipe that goes too the fuel pump seems completely dry. So seems the problem is the fuel not getting too engine. anyone got any suggestions at all? Is there a fuse for the fuel pump, had a search but can't seem too find anything. Thanks a lot

Re: bongo wont start
Might be worth changing fuel filter & priming it with diesel & injector cleaner. There is no fuse as the mechanical fuel pump is built into the injector pump. Check for leaks around this area which may indicate it's sucking in air rather than diesel.

The fuse for the FP and ECU is No9 10amp under the bonnet.
