Replacing control lamps

Post by Jabba's Wheels » Thu Oct 24, 2013 7:59 pm

Hi, I'm a Bongo newbie. I've recently taken the plunge and acquired a 2000 reg 2.0 petrol AFT. Reasonably pleased with it so far and getting used to the quirks. :) Trying to get a few things sorted out with it.

I'm keen to replace some failed bulbs behind the fan/heater controls. I've looked at the factsheet "Climate control Illumination" which provides me with a good start except mine is the one with basic controls e.g. rotary knobs for temperature and fan speed, slider for air circulation etc. I can get as far as lifting the unit about 5mm out of the dash - then something (solid) stops it :?

Anyone got any ideas?

Hi
Disconnect the control wires under the bonnet and at the side of the heater in the passenger and driver footwells. It will then pull out far enough to change bulbs
Cheers

In the beginning there was nothing , then God said "Let there be Light".....There was still nothing , but ,by crikey, you could see it better.
