Looking forward to meeting peeps and the Hotpot. Leaving here tomorrow morning for a enjoyable 300 miles trip to Clitheroe. Should get there late afternoon. I have lost a wheel hub cap on the bongo. It is an original 15" steel wheel and wondered if anyone going has got a spare one I could have. Here's hoping! See you there.

Would have liked to drop into this meet as a day visitor but have to be away on business. On the hub cap issue, unless you are insistent you must have original hub caps (which I think are a bit dull on the older Bongos) then I found the Halfords more expensive 'alloy wheel effect' ones (charcoal grey metallic) looked really good. Have a nice trip to Clitheroe. If the weather stays dry, its a lovely part of the world (Trough of Bowland etc). :-)

Manny I have an original spare hub cap which you can have, gratis. Only thing is I am not going to a club meet until next year. Let me know if you get one before. Phil Jones the Wood.

Would've dropped in too but double booked, taking the Bongo down to Sarfend for a bit a run. Will get to one at some point having been the Sheffield air-con day meet - eager to catchup on a bit of Bongo-porn ;-)
Have fun!

Manny
which one is it you require, there are 2 types, the early ones have a series of small holes with a plain centre, the later have what look more like spokes with a mazda symbol in the centre.
im going and have both types spare. 8)

My Tough Northerners luck has struck again unfortunately. First time I booked the site caught fire  This time I have caught a knock you down and jump on you bug of the high temperature or shivering variety   . Although much recovered I am not feeling well enough for the drive north.

Feeling really pissed off about this but that's sods law. I was looking forward to seeing everyone, but all I can say is to hope for better luck next year. At least someone can have a second helping of Hotpot.

Thanks to Ian and co for another enjoyable bash. Weather was good for "up North" and hotpot tasty. Even England football team did not disappoint. It was good to see old friends and meet new ones. About the wheel hub cap, Mike I agree the halfords are nice but I prefer to keep originals if possible (out of sentiment!). Phil thanks for your offer but I have already got not one, but thanks to the generosity of Northern Bongolow, two. Thanks Ady. Pity have to wait till next year for the next bash.

Sorry for misunderstanding.  I already have the hub caps. When I said pity have to wait till next year, I meant to go to a bongo bash and not to pick up hubs #-o
