Erisin double din pad, DVD, phone ,bluetooth, reversing, gps

Post by ginger colin » Fri Oct 04, 2013 7:42 pm

I have been trying to figure out which model Erisin stereo / dvd etc to get

A few people have tried various models but I cant find much info on the new PAD removable models
Yep you can take off a pad and sit in the back... the kids can watch films while you watch GPS Nav...

I am looking for a model that drops straight in to the bongo dash, removable (security) face, bluetooth to phone book and you can call through the stereo, front and rear recording camera (for reversing and you tube blunders), most have aux/usb in, a lot of them take a sim card and have wi Fi and G3, GPS, digital TV, games....

Im not too worried about it connecting to the internet but can you please list the model you have and rate it...
Cost, fit, sound qulaity, picture quality, were the kids happy in the back

Erisin do stock a few items in the UK and sell through e bay. You can also order straight through their web site
UK delivery for about £10 with no taxes

Not sure if you mind is made up on make and model but I bought one of these six months ago and have not been disappointed. The sat- nav has proven to be as good if not better than my TOM TOM

Eonon C1308E 7 inch. Did it fit snug in the dash... its says its Install Size: 178mm×170mm×100mm
- Panel Size: 169mm x103mm. The info on amazon is limikted. doe sthe reverse camera come on automatically and switch screen from
sat nav/ films ... to rear view.

The erisin website ( http://www.erisin.com/) is very informative but there are some horror stories for some models on you tube

£209 delivered off eBay sellers ..

http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/i.html?_odkw= ... n&_sacat=0

I have had stuff from Hong Kong /China delivered with no import duty ..

But .. I have always been a bit wary of 'high value' items, in case there are quality problems ..

I have recently had some Cree (high powered Leds) from China that did not work .. at there costs it seemed to much hassle sending them back ..

Got it from a Amazon -Chinese importer who has a warehouse in UK. £240, reverse camera cuts in when reverse is engaged, CD/radio sound dims automatically when recieving or making a phone call or when Sat-Nav is speaking. As for fit it does not come with a DD cage so you have to buy a universal one around £16. To fit it snug you cut out the thin centre strip of plastic deviding the radio from the whatever in the hole below and glue it to the bottom of the now DD opening. This is then a snug fit. Best have it fitted professionally as i did Halford will fit it for £30.

You can also purchase a larger/smaller surround depending on the fit to make up any gaps. Funny thing is my 98 Bongo it fitted tight but the 2002 it was a little slacker :?:

There are two sizes of double DIN cages so make sure you get the right one.

Now there are two words that I never thought I'd see in the same sentence, although I suppose they are professional in the sense that they get paid for it. I wouldn't trust Halfrauds to fit a light bulb, let alone an audio head unit!

Well I speak as I find. I used them loads and they are really helpful but if you have had a bad experience then I can understand your point of view.

I have used there stores and found the staff far from knowledgeable ..

I have to say I have never ever used there techie / fitting centre .. so like most, just go from other peoples negative remarks ... but there again, how many post positive comments about there dealer experiences ..

Agreed.

To be honest no none has well trained staff with product knowledge unless the company invests in them and gives training but that costs money and they will not spend that.

I don't blame some of them for their attitude because they are probably paid buttons and many are on zero contracts not knowing where the next shift of holiday is coming from. Working with or for the general public can be ghastly. I i know this as I had 14 years in social housing and I had it all! threats abuse, squalour and just unpleasant lazy good fornothings who thought that the world owed them a living!

Everytime I have gone there they have alweays been pretty good and helpful so as I say speak and you find.
