Which Gobur folding caravan to tow with Bongo

Post by stig444 » Thu Sep 19, 2013 10:48 am

Hi
We're going to look at pre-owned Gobur folding caravans and will tow it with our Bongo 2.5 FWD converted Bongo (we need the space as we have 4 Jack Russell's). If anyone has experience of the Goburs would you recommend one with toilet/basin compartment or just use our porta potti. I'm leaning toward the latter but my husband prefers the compartment so any comments will help us.
Thanks
Barbara

I have never heard of them before, had a look at this and my first thought was Bob The Builder.

Nevertheless I quite like them.

a diesel bongo will tow any of the gobur or esterel type models, with no problem at all. in fact they are ideal as you will be able to see round the sides and over the top too.

ive had gobur, esterel, vagabond messager, fleurette.

if your buying second user check the lower panels under the front and rear windows for rot, these panels are the main supports for the hinges, any movement when erecting is a bad sign.

Oh thank you for the tip. We're off to the Gobur factory this weekend so will check those panels in particular.
