Hook up plugs

This might seem a strange question but I am new to this camping lark !
I am making a electric hook up lead just need to know if the end you plug into the camp sites hook up point needs to a male or female type of the round socket :?:

It's simple if you think about it: the live end will always be a female otherwise you would get a nasty shock.
