Scavenger Fan sensor removal

Post by MX5Marc » Sat Sep 07, 2013 2:13 pm

Hi guys,

I've got a year 2000 Bongo, and am trying to remove the scavenger fan sensor by the handbrake.
Can anyone tell me how it's connected? I've tried screwing and pulling it, but neither seem to work!

Thanks
Marc

HI, you will probably have to squeeze in the sides (from the bottom)and pull it out.

Good Luck..

Hi Marc, I have just had the need to remove a sensor switch on a 1998 2.5td,it was in fact was just a push fit into a rubber grommet.

Hope this helps you.

Hi guys,

Many thanks for your replies.
I managed to remove the sensor - but unfortunately the parts company I bought the new sensor from had sent me the wrong part.

I've plugged the old sensor back in and fitted a switch to manually control the scavenger fan.
