my newly bought bongo didn't come with a english written manual - i see these are available on ebay and other places - is it worth buying ?

I bought the Bongo Freindee for £20.00 and found it moderately useful. If you intend to do any work yourself I would think the workshop manual around £65.00 for members from Ian would be a big help.
Do not forget to look at all the help sheets you can download from the members area, these are very good.

i got the owners hand book from ebay didn't really tell me anything i didn't already know from driving the vehicle and generally messing about with it. Hope this helps.

Strange really - I bought an Owners Manual just so I could say my Bongo had an Owners Manual and so it would feel 'owned'. How strange is that!?!

Got ours 'free' when we bought our Bongo from 321Away.
Also bought the full manual from Ian, a blessing (the manual, not Ian, although he is a diamond geezer

)
Worth the 'splash out' if you intend doing anything yourself, also very handy if some cowboy

tries to 'pull the wool', so to speak.

Just been reading the workshop manual I just bought from Ian. Riveting stuff (not that my wife would agree). Strange though, I cant see where it tells you how to change the engine oil (filter yes, oil change no) or how you change the oil in automatic gearbox.

Have you tried putting new disc brake pads it yet? Bleeding the system? They reckon you need special tools for both of these but I wonder if that is necessary.

And I wonder if I will have the confidence to change my own thermostat and refill and bleed the dreaded coolant
