Techie stuff to do with the front fan

hi guys can anyone help as we are totally at a loose end. We have now bought two new front fans and three new resistors, one of which was purchased from here and still to no avail.....it will not beat me!!! But please if anyone could give us any useful tips it would be very much appreciated

p.s. it is the digital climate control that we have!!

When you press the fan speed adjustment button are the 'bars' on the display moving to the right .. but the heater fan is 'dead' ??

If you 'Search' there are several posts on heater fan problems .. like this one ..

You don't actually say what the problem is. It may help to know what he problem is before we offer any tips.

Digital climate control uses a transistor module rather than resistor found in the mechanical controls. Make sure you've got the correct one for your system.

Would just like to say a great big THANKS for all your help with our front fan problems.... we now have a working fan, at last!! Yayyy!! xxx

...... But the problems don't stop there!! We have decided on a whim to venture off to France with the family. Hopped on a ferry from Dover to Calais and then travelled down to the bottom of Normandy, top of Brittany, it was supposed to be a four hour drive but in reality it was six and a half!! My better half was driving along and we seen the golden arches and decided we would have a break!! This is when the trouble began....We pulled up, as you do. Put the bongo into "P", as you do....and took the ignition key out, as one does!! But to our astonishment....our old girl just kept chuntering away, she just didn't want to stop!! We have had to take out the diesel line and starve her of juice and she eventually died. After giving her a good rest for an hour and a drink of water she managed to re-start and we made it to the camp site in one piece, only to be faced with the same problem again with switching off the ignition. She didn't sound well at all on the last hour of the journey and we thought she wasn't going to make it....God bless her!!

Anyway to cut a long story short, we are stranded in France and was wondering at all if anyone knows what the hell we are going to do?!?!?! LOLOLOL!!!

Any suggestions would be very much appreciated.....and sooner rather than later!!!

It sound like the Stop Solenoid , but why did you have to give it a Drink of Water

Sounds like the fuel cut off solenoid on the injector pump. Rough running could indicate problem with the pump seals, so a good refurb may be in order when you get back. Hope you've got suitable European breakdown cover in case things deteriorates

If you. Remove the pump yourself I would recommend lawson diesel in Edinburgh ,they are specialists in diesel systems had mine done by them and its fab
