Wiper Blades

Post by hijimhere » Tue Jul 23, 2013 11:13 pm

I was thinking of buying these wiper blades http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 0713088110
--so I emailed asking if they were stainless Steel that had been Chrome plated as £35 seemed a steel/steal forgive the pun.
I am still waiting a reply! So I have concluded that it is most unlikely that they are Stainless Steel - but just in case has anyone bought them and are they genuine.

Hello I have had a set of these on my Bongo for the last two years, and they look great. As far as I am aware they are Chromed Stainless Steel. The shine on mine has not altered in the last two years, and a quick wipe with a cloth keeps them that way.The seller is genuine and I have bought other things from him.The wipers are expensive, but I think that they are worth it.I always say "You pays your money, you makes your choice" in all thing Bongo related.Cheers Michael

Damn..just when I promised myself that I wouldn't fritter away any more hard-earned wonga on totally non-essential, blingy, Bongoiy bits....

...I read this.

Woops, I seem to have ordered them, by mistake, how did that happen??

Hello, just the wiper blades.Repainted the arms Black because the paint was chipped and the new wipers showed that up.I know that somebody in the club had their wiper arms Chromed then sold their Bongo.I would not like to think how much that cost.Cheers Michael

Well, all fitted, definitely a bit 'blingy', but..

these are the BEST wipers I have ever come across, forget the blingy chrome, they work, really well.

Expensive I guess, but the Bosch units that preceded them weren't cheap either, and these are streets ahead of anything else I've ever used. Will see if I can black ones for the car.

Definitely recommended.

The description further down says polished stainless steel so I would guess that the reference to chrome is a mistake. There would be no point in chrome plating stainless steel even if it were that simple because stainless steel (depending on the grade) is already rust free. If they really are stainless steel they are a bargain.

It says that they are spoiler blades. I hope the rear one isn't because that will help lift it off the screen and it doesn't need any help with that.
