I wonder if anyone can advise us - we're due to set off to France for 3 weeks on Thursday and we had the Bongo in the garage today to get a missing calliper fitted on one of the wheels as it was squeaking.
The mechanic (who is trusted but not a Bongo specialist) says there is a small hole in the centre flexi part of the exhaust. It's not something we'd noticed and it was serviced and MOT'ed a month ago by 321 Away.
The mechanic's advice was 'you can take a risk if you like but if it goes while you're away you'll be stuffed until you can source the part'.
Now we're wondering whether or not we need to rush round trying to get the part and get it fitted before Wed.
Does anyone with more expertise than us have any thoughts on how likely it is to develop to something we can't ignore over a 3-week trip?
Thanks for any advice.

Change it the fumes that may come in could make you ill esp on a long journey /heat/windows open! Are there kids in the veh? If you go on Internet that part is £49 free p&p is it worth the chance to maybe even have a mishap en route?
