Photos from Skye and Gairloch trip.

Post by mountainmummy » Sat Jul 27, 2013 3:13 pm

Hi

Just spent a few weeks at Glen Brittle on Skye and Big Sands at Gairloch. Weather was fab!

Glengarry on way up

Slept in the tent for this trip, nice to have loads of room for a change although maybe not quite as much fun as squashing in the Freda.

We could hardly find anywhere to sit on the beach, it was so busy.

Donald climbed a scary hill.

Then moved on to Gairloch and the best beach in the world (and that's coming from a Cornish woman).

Paddling - The water was warm but swarming with jellyfish, we also saw starfish, baby lobster things, flat fish and crabs galore.

Donald climbed Beinn Alligan in the Torridon range.

It was a fab trip with very un-Scottish weather, I even have a tan.

Glorious. I just wish I could manage to visit Scotland in that sort of weather. It always rains for me. Someday [-o<
