Bongo engines

Post by jess.scobie » Thu Jul 25, 2013 11:31 am

Hello. I was wondering if anyone knows if a 95 engine is the same as a 99? I want to buy a part that's from a 99 and mine is a 95. Can't find out if the part will fit for my bongo. Any info much appreciated! Thank you.

It's the crankshaft pulley. One of the 3? Does that mean 2.5 diesel?

The later diesel engines have different turbos and injector pumps, but I believe most of other bits are the same. I've got a spare pulley for '95 Bongo, but have so far failed to get the damn thing off the engine .

You could contact these people for compatibility, there is a part number change for 1999.

I'll have another crack soon. Trouble is the engine is sat on the garage floor so when you try to turn the bolt, the whole lot topples over. Need to fashion some sort of cradle to support it.
