fan belt adjustment

Hi everyone, I had two new fan belts fitted last service (two months ago)..can anyone tell me how to tighten them......getting a annoying squeak....thanks as always.....Paul

There is an adjusting screw on the alternator. You have to undo a clamp screw and then turn the adjuster to move the alternator towards you thus tightening the belt. Be careful not to overtighten though.

Another cause of squealing under load is a broken exhaust manifold stud.
