Rear wiper has a mind of its own

Post by psquiddy » Sun Jul 07, 2013 10:48 am

My rear wiper has decided to start working without me asking it to - it has done a couple of swipes once or twice over the last couple of weeks but yesterday it did it 4 times and would not stop the last time. After leaving the car turned off for half an hour all was ok again.

Any suggestions?

open the back door and check the wires that come through to the door, they break then can short, they are inside the rubber boot so not seay to detect when broken.

Thanks for the tip - the drivers side wiring had been broken before and poorly mended.

Did a bit of soldering and hopefully all will be well now.
